About Me

One Fine Canine is owned and operated by Chad and Beth Visser. It had its grand opening in the spring of 2008 in the city of Rochester, New York. In May of 2010 One Fine Canine moved to Walworth NY, just outside of Rochester. We enjoyed 11 years in Walworth before again moving. We are now located in the town of  Pickens, upstate South Carolina. We are conveniently located close to Clemson, Greenville and Seneca, SC.

Chad is the all important "behind the scenes guy."  He gets much praise for the beautiful work space that One Fine Canine Salon is and get much credit for giving Beth the opportunity she now has to be able to work from home and serve fellow dog owners. God is so good!

Beth is the owner/groomer of One Fine Canine. Beth began her dog grooming experience over 40 years ago as a junior handler showing and training her own dogs in 4H and also for local breeders in the Ithaca, New York area. She had the opportunity to show breeds such as Borzoi, Salukis, English and American Cocker Spaniels, Dobermans, Australian Shepherds and Shetland Sheepdogs to name a few.

This experience was a spring board for Beth into the grooming world professionally. During high school and summers off from college Beth worked as a groomer at a nearby boarding kennel and also from home. After her college years Beth returned to the grooming profession full time. She spent six years working for Peg Eighmey of the Poodle Shack in Penfield, New York. Peggy was a wonderful support and Chad and Beth will always be grateful to her.

During that time Chad and Beth were blessed with two children. Once the kids were old enough to begin homeschooling, Chad and Beth felt it was time for Beth to work from home. This decision would begin the inspiration for "One Fine Canine."

Beth loves what she does. She enjoys making the family dog look and feel like a show dog! Each breed has unique characteristics that make them special. A good groomer knows how to highlight these characteristics, making them look and feel like "one fine canine."
